About me

Hi, I’m Katie — a licensed massage therapist, Spinal Flow practitioner, yoga instructor, and wellness coach with over 12 years of experience helping people reconnect with their bodies and restore their nervous systems.

My journey in wellness has been guided by one core belief: the body is a master healer when given the right tools. Through a combination of bodywork, nervous system regulation, movement, and lifestyle coaching, I help people reconnect with their bodies and reclaim their health naturally.

Over the years, I’ve had the honor of working with clients seeking relief from chronic pain, neuropathy, scoliosis, depression, anxiety, and more. It’s been incredible to witness the transformation that happens when the nervous system is supported and the body is allowed to release what it’s been holding.

In addition to my private practice, I’ve taught massage therapy at Brunswick Community College, sharing my passion for anatomy, intuition, and therapeutic touch with future practitioners.

Whether you’re navigating physical discomfort, emotional stress, or simply looking to feel more at home in your body, my goal is to create a space where healing happens — gently, naturally, and from within.

I’d love to support you on your journey to greater ease, alignment, and vitality.

Somatic Yoga

Yoga, for me, has always been about more than flexibility or fitness. It’s a practice of coming home to the body.

In my somatic yoga classes, we focus on slow, mindful movements that help the nervous system settle and allow the body to release patterns of tension. This approach helps build awareness, restore balance, and reconnect you with your body’s natural rhythms.

It’s a gentle yet powerful way to support healing from the inside out.

Massage Therapy

Massage therapy has been the foundation of my work for over a decade. Through therapeutic touch, we help the body release tension, improve circulation, and create a sense of calm and balance.

Over the years I’ve seen how much our bodies hold — not just physical tension, but stress and emotional patterns as well. Massage offers a space where the body can soften, reset, and return to a more natural state of ease.

Every session is tailored to what your body needs in that moment.

Wellness Coaching

True healing often involves more than one piece of the puzzle. Through wellness coaching, I support clients in creating lifestyle habits that align with their health, values, and long-term wellbeing.

Together we explore nutrition, movement, stress management, and nervous system support so that the changes you make feel sustainable and empowering.

My goal is to help you build a life that supports your health on every level.

Spinal Flow

Many physical and emotional symptoms begin in the nervous system — not just the muscles.

Your spine and nervous system hold the story of your life — stress, injuries, and experiences that may never have had the chance to fully release.

Spinal Flow is a gentle healing modality that works with the spine and nervous system to help the body release stored tension and reconnect with its natural ability to heal.

Through light contact along specific points of the spine, we help the nervous system settle so the body can move back toward balance and ease.

Every session unfolds at the pace your body is ready for, often leaving people feeling deeply relaxed, calm, and more connected to their bodies.

What to Expect From a Spinal Flow Session

  • What is Spinal Flow?

Spinal Flow is a gentle, nervous system–focused therapy that works with the spine to help restore communication throughout the body. By supporting the spine and nervous system, the body can begin to release stored stress patterns that may be affecting posture, physical health, and overall wellbeing.

Many symptoms in the body are connected to stress or experiences that have been held in the nervous system. Spinal Flow helps the body release these patterns so it can return to a more balanced and natural state of health.

  • Getting started is simple. Schedule a Spinal Flow Energy Session, and we’ll begin by going over your health history and discussing what’s bringing you in. From there, you’ll have the opportunity to experience Spinal Flow for yourself.

Sessions are fully clothed, so just wear comfortable clothing.

  • During a Spinal Flow session you remain fully clothed and lie face down on the massage table, either on top of or beneath a blanket—whichever feels most comfortable for you.

I begin by gently assessing the spine to notice areas of tension, tone, or restriction. Using light contact with my fingers along specific points of the sacrum, spine, and cranium, I help the nervous system reconnect and begin releasing stored stress patterns.

As the session unfolds, many people settle into a deep state of rest while the nervous system begins to reset. Every experience is different. Some people notice small twitches as nerve endings release, while others experience gentle waves of movement through the spine or body. Some people experience emotional release, see colors, or simply feel deeply relaxed.

After the session, many people feel calmer, lighter, and more connected to their bodies. Occasionally there may be a brief sense of lightheadedness as the nervous system recalibrates.

  • Spinal Flow works with the spine and nervous system, which influence nearly every function in the body. As stored stress and tension begin to release, many people notice improvements in both physical and emotional wellbeing.

People often seek Spinal Flow for things like back pain, chronic stress, tension in the body, headaches, fatigue, anxiety, and nervous system imbalance.

Each session supports the body in releasing what it has been holding and returning to a more natural state of balance and structural alignment.

  • Many people begin with a single session to experience the work and see how their body responds.

For deeper and longer-lasting changes, I often recommend a series of sessions so the nervous system has time to release patterns gradually and allow the spine and posture to realign. A common starting point is a 12-session series, which allows the body to build momentum in the healing process.

Some clients choose to come more frequently at the beginning — even a few times per week — to help the nervous system reset more quickly and create lasting change.

Together we’ll always listen to your body and decide on a pace that feels supportive and sustainable for you.

  • Many clients say they feel like they’ve just woken up from a restful nap. It’s common to feel deeply relaxed, calm, and more at ease in your body.

Occasionally, people may feel slightly lightheaded for a few moments as the nervous system settles and adjusts. This usually passes quickly, leaving most people feeling refreshed, grounded, and well rested.
